Last night, Caroline Scheufele (Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard) teamed up with the queen of sustainable fashion and Creative Director of Ego-Age, Livia Firth to launch Palme Verte - Chopard's new diffusion line crafted entirely from Fairmined Gold. Guests including Stacy Martin, Kimberly Wyatt and husband Max Rogers and couturier Michael Russo gathered at the brand's Bond Street boutique to admire the new collection crafted from Fairmined 18ct yellow gold.
Firth's Eco-Age have collaborated with Chopard for two years to create sustainable and ethical jewellery projects as part of the 'Journey to Sustainable Luxury,' helping build ethical and sustainable practice into the business models of luxury brands. So far the project has helped one mine in Bolivia and one in Columbia reach Fairmined certification, and building on this Chopard have also announced a new partnership with PX Précinox SA, the Swiss gold refinery company, to establish the first commercial export route for Fairmined gold from Bolivia. Hats off to Chopard and Eco-Age for once again blazing a trail in ethical fashion – proving that how fine jewellery is created is just as important as the product itself. Ethical luxury has never looked so beautiful.
