London Collections might seem like a distant memory now, but there's always time to reflect upon the highlights of the weekend, which for us included Private White V.C. Ever since we interviewed Creative Director Nick Ashley in our winter edition, Private White has become a favourite, offering classic gentlemanly style underscored with a passion for quality British manufacturing. The brand's AW16 'Mayfair Collection' helped commemorate the first anniversary of the brand's flagship store at 73 Duke Street, featuring a range of high-quality fabrics and technical finishes to lust after. Running throughout the collection were two exclusive fabrics; ECOSEAM® – the word's first eco friendly fabric, and Ventile® – a high quality, 100% cotton fabric developed in Manchester in the 1930s for the Allied Forces in WWII. Woven in Lancashire and finished in Yorkshire, the fabrics are authentically British, as are the brand's garments – hand made at Private White V.C.'s 200-year old mill on the banks of the River Irwell, Manchester. We love to see British craft flourishing, so well done Private White V.C. for leading the way!
