Temperatures in the city have plummeted to a chilly 14 degrees celsius today, meaning Londoners everywhere have been rummaging to the back of their wardrobe in search of long forgotten knitwear and furry garments to fend off the cold. Not only does the temperature drop signal a change of wardrobe, but also that the time for picnics in the park or outdoor dining is over. Instead there's only one place to be on the impending long winter nights - snuggled up in a chalet, sipping on warming cocktails and feasting on fondue.

Fortunately, those in search of a cosy winter fix won't have to travel all the way to Chamonix – York & Albany is opening its very own winter chalet right here in the city from the 29th of October – a twinkling grotto of fairy lights, glowing lanterns and spiced candles. Guests can wrap up warm with a furry blanket, cosying up by the outdoor fire and feasting on festive fayre designed by Head Chef Will Stanyer, featuring a range of tempting treats including venison kromeski, rainbow trout with horseradish mousse and of course delicious, gooey raclette. A selection of hot and cold cocktails will also be on offer to raise spirits, including Y&A's own Winter Spiced Old Fashioned with home-infused vodka and Chilled Mulled Cider – an irresistible mix of cider and prosecco topped with apple flavoured ice. Winter has never been so welcome.

The chalet runs from 28th of October - 1st February 2016, 4pm-11pm.
