A London institution since 1707, Fortnum & Mason has built a reputation as one of the finest food destinations in the country, earning the store royal warrants for both groceries and tea. Now the iconic department store is branching out into new territory, launching a stand alone restaurant in the heart of St James's on the 26th of October, promising 'understated sophistication' and impeccable service for its clientele. Open from 7am until midnight during weekdays and from 8am on the weekends, the restaurant will serve up a range of classic dishes with a contemporary twist, including baked eggs in avocado for breakfast, moving on to pan-fried sea bass with ravioli for lunch and spatzle with Dorset lobster for dinner. The new restaurant will also be making the most of its prime position to cater to hungry theatre-goers with a supper menu featuring indulgent dishes such as baked potato and caviar. Interior design by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio promise an elegant, classic interior embellished with vibrant touches such as burnt orange leather banquettes surrounded by intimate booths and a marble-fronted dining bar. Sure to attract plenty of attention for its prime location and links with the prestigious F&M name, book now to avoid disappointment.
