Continuing on from the success of Maker's House, which took Soho by storm earlier this year, Burberry is teaming up once more with luxury craft collective The New Craftsmen, this time at the brand's all-day café, Thomas's at 5 Vigo Street. In honour of the collaboration, the venue has received a makeover inspired by the work of The New Craftsmen, featuring low slung lighting, wooden seating and a newly installed private dining area – perfect for festive meet-ups away from the hectic bustle of Regent Street. The menu has also been revamped for the occasion, featuring a selection of comforting seasonal dishes and weekly changing traditional pies, hot soups and puddings – including favourites such as jam roly poly with custard and fresh fruit mince pies served with a dollop of brandy butter.
The collaboration will also provide a rare opportunity to observe Britain's finest craftspeople at work as they bring their their skill to life with live demonstrations of everything from delicately embroidered linen table napkins and hand-knitted Christmas stockings to personalised wrapping paper. The Lantern Room and the Gallery will also play host to a range of additional personalising services including scarf calligraphy, leather hand painting, embossing, wreath customisation and more. On top of all this, a selection of exclusive products and gifts from The New Craftsmen, unique to Thomas's, will also be on offer including rugs, crockery, glassware and key rings. For a truly unique gift (and maybe a mince pie or two) Thomas's is shaping up to be a must-visit destination for the festive season.
