Mayfair and St James's are gearing up for the approach of the third annual Brown's London Art Weekend, taking place this year from the 1st to the 3rd of July. Celebrating the area's key role in London's art scene, the event will see over 60 galleries and auction houses open their doors to the public, presenting an array of free talks, walks and exhibitions. The packed program promises plenty of exciting and engaging events and behind-the-scenes-access to the best of London's art scene, including: 

Gallery Hop! - taking place on the 1st of July, providing after hours access to a selection of Mayfair gallery previews, followed by a party at Burlington Arcade until 10pm hosted by La Perla. 

Brown's Art Tours - a range of tours will be taking place across the weekend, starting with refreshments in The Library at Brown's Hotel, followed by a tour of four galleries in the Mayfair area by an expert from one of the participating galleries. Mayfair Tours - Throughout the weekend, experts including Colin Sheaf, Chairman of Bonhams and art dealer Maeve Doyle as will be hosting personally curated tours of Mayfair which are free to attend. Simply visit www.londonartweekend.co.uk to book. 

Brown's Talks Programme - Brown's Hotel will be hosting a series of talks from experts from across the art world. On the 2nd of July, a talk will look at how art lighting can be perfected at home, followed by an afternoon talk from Kate Brown (Art Director at Halcyon Gallery) and Robin Barton (of Bankrobber) on British-American artist Russell Young. On the morning of the 3rd of July, James Hyman will also be in conversation with Marisa Bellani about photography. 

RA Burlington Gardens Festival - a day-long free arts festival hosted by the Royal Academy on the 2nd of July, presenting installations, workshops and performances alongside street-food, music and entertainment. 

Summer Nights at the RA - the Royal Academy will be extending its opening hours on the 2nd of July until 10pm, providing a chance to explore the gallery's summer exhibition David Hockney RA: 82 Portraits and 1 Still-life after hours. 

Recommended Walks - art-themed walks recommended by public figures including Paul Smith, Nicole Farhi and Kate Godwin will also be on offer, providing the chance to explore their favourite Mayfair galleries. 

As part of the celebrations, The Donovan Bar at Brown's Hotel has also launched a specially designed cocktail dubbed the 'Artini', featuring gin, apple, peach and citrus tones served in a 'paintpot' glass on a palette of purees in kiwi, strawberry blueberry and pineapple. The cocktail will be available throughout July to quench the thirsts of art lovers.
