This month, Sofitel London St James will be throwing its arms around Paris with the unveiling of photo exhibition La Parisienne. Curated by French magazine Paris Match, the exhibition will seek to explore the evolution of the capital's sense of style and culture throughout the decades, focusing on the chic women who embodied the zeitgeist of each era. The two-part exhibition will feature 22 photos dating back to the 1950s, drawn from the photography archive of the magazine, including some shots by the renowned Emanuele Scorcelletti. Iconic figures of style including Catherine Deneuve and Jane Fonda appear in the collection, alongside Lou Doillon and Inès de la Fressange. The exhibition also features 10 winning photos selected by jury from the La Parisienne nationwide photo contest that ran across France, open to amateur and young professional photographers alike, who sought to capture the spirit of the modern Parisienne.
La Parisienne by Sofitel opens on the 27th of September for two months. Admission is free.
