Previously director of the Dresden State Art Collections and President of the German Museums Association, Martin Roth has worked as Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum since 2011. As the head of the world’s largest museum of decorative arts and design, Roth is closely involved with spearheading solutions to make the V&A’s world-class reserve collections as accessible as possible to researchers, students and the general public. In addition to this, Roth is also heading up several groundbreaking new projects including the creation of a V&A museum in Dundee, Scotland, and another in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London.
