CURATING LUXURY FOR THE DISCERNING TRAVELLER

Aesop Piccadilly Arcade – a first peek

Aesop Piccadilly Arcade – a first peek

The luxury skin, hair and bodycare brand’s store in Piccadilly Arcade is an oasis of calm amid London chaos

The Aesop Piccadilly Arcade store was designed with Studio Luca Guadagnino, and is located at the Piccadilly entrance of the historic setting in a curved corner stone.

Every individual Aesop store has its own unique design, each with a different look. Wander inside and you’ll find marble flooring, rounded windows and stucco panels become mock-Tudor cabinets that form a portal heralding a change in atmosphere from the bustling streets of Piccadilly to an elegant tranquillity that the brand is renowned for.

Founded in Melbourne in 1987, Aesop formulates skin, hair and bodycare products of the finest quality. Aesop works to source plant-based and laboratory made ingredients and only uses products with a proven record of safety and efficacy. In every store, there is a team of informed consultants that are ready to show the wide range of products and help guide you with your selections.

Inside two boulders interlock to form a central basin where Aesop’s knowledgeable consultants are ready to assist you. Stone tiles radiate geometrically from the basin paying homage to Greenwich’s rich architectural history.

A secluded staircase transports visitors into a room of tender domesticity complete with stucco embraced walls, reclaimed timber lining the floor and diaphanous curtains caressing the windows. Ceramic sinks resting on polished stainless-steel legs; a daybed invites repose. The perfect haven to indulge yourself in the ultimate self-care, be sure to visit and get lost in your relaxation.

Also new from the brans is Aesop Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator (£40). The rich, yet lightweight formula addresses the visible and invisible physical sensations associated with sensitive skin and skin prone to sensitivities. Its two hero ingredients are new to the brand: Dunaliella Salina Extract is a green microalgae that’s rich in anti-oxidants, while Narcissus Tazetta Bulb Extract is an extract from dormant daffodil bulbs. The two tinctures work in synergy to soothe irritation and reduce redness. Ginger Root Extract and Bisabolol complement the blend, bringing a sense of calm and comfort to sensitive skin.
